BookOrbit is my personal digital library and reading hub. It is a place where I organize, track, and explore my entire digital book collection in one space. BookOrbit brings together everything that makes up a reading life: books I own, books I’ve read, what I’m currently reading, future reading plans, highlights, notes, reviews, and reading statistics.
BookOrbit is evolving constantly, but it currently allows syncing directly to Kobo and KoReader, progress syncing to Hardcover and StoryGraph, creating multiple user accounts, updating metadata using a variety of sources, and so much more! There’s a ton to explore, but BookOrbit has made my reading life infinitely easier across all of my devices, and is able to handle both eBooks and Audiobooks with ease.
BookOrbit allows me to create a magic link with demo access, which means you can read and download files as you wish, but so can everyone else with access to the magic link. It’s a shared account state, so you may see progress and stats that you aren’t responsible for. Ideally, use of the Magic Link will be for downloading books from my library for use on your personal device.
BookOrbit also allows you to make your own account to login to my server. You can register yourself on the home page of my server by clicking “Sign Up” and entering your own information. You do need to provide an email for password reset purposes but your username and “full name” can be set to whatever you would like. I do see all of this information, but no other user can see any of it. As admin, I have to have access to this information to manage user permissions, send password reset information, and keep everything organized. If you are not comfortable with this, please opt for the Magic Link option above.
By default, you will not have any permissions within the server. Please let me know if it takes more than a day for your access to be expanded so I can review it and get you up and running. Once you have access, you will be able to use your own version of my library with your own stats, collections, integrations, etc.

In the event that I am traveling with my laptop, access to the server will be down. I will do my absolute best to share any planned downtime here. Eventually I will move this server to a desktop device and it will be up 24/7 for use, but for now, this will have to do!
